NPI steel is a type of structural steel profile commonly used in the construction and manufacturing industries. The abbreviation “NPI” stands for “Normal Profile I,” which refers to the profile’s I-shaped cross-section.
These profiles are hot-rolled and typically produced in the following grades:
S235JR (ST37), S275JR (ST44), S355JR (ST52), S275J2, and S355J2.
They are available in standard lengths of 6 meters and 12 meters. However, custom lengths can be produced according to project requirements.
Features of NPI Steel:
-
Shape: NPI profiles have an “I”-shaped cross-section, offering high strength and load-bearing capacity.
-
Material: Generally manufactured from carbon steel.
-
Dimensions: Defined by parameters such as width, height, and thickness. Various sizes are available for different applications.
Advantages of NPI Steel:
-
High strength due to the I-shaped design, increasing load-bearing performance.
-
Economical compared to many other structural steel profiles.
-
Easy to process through cutting, drilling, and welding.
-
Available in a wide range of sizes, allowing for versatility in use.
